'BLACKPINK: The Show' A Global Phenomenon, Earns Over US$10.5 Million

Selected BLINKs worldwide, since they have to purchase the tickets and sign in to YouTube before they can be able to watch the show, were treated to a historic live stream concert titled "BLACKPINK: The Show" that included changing stages and singing of their hits from the K-Pop girl group's "The Album." 

"BLACKPINK: The Show" reportedly earned $10.5 million on the opening of ticket sales with almost 300,000 fans from all over the world tuned in. The stage is equivalent to a 50,000 person capacity stadium. The girl group wore costumes that even enhanced their beauty.

There were changing sets with BLACKPINK's Rosé, Lisa, Jennie and Jisoo singing the songs from their latest album. Jisoo also sang her rendition of "Habits" by Tove Lo, while Lisa sang "Say So" by Doja Cat. BLACKPINK also debuted the live band, The Band Six during "The Show."

Despite being postponed from its December 2020 schedule, it has been a phenomenal event for BLACKPINK and their label, YG Entertainment. Here is what social media is saying. 

Netizen @breathinxswift on Twitter wrote, "They really nailed it, so proud of them... They never lied when they say 'Blackpink is the revolution'."

They also loved the solo performance of Lisa. @LalissaaManoban posted, "The song was absolutely perfect. I can't believe I finally got to hear it after waiting for three years but it was worth it. I loved every bit of it. Roseann Park an absolute angel."

"I love you guys to the mountains and back, to the far far hills and around Europe and Australia back to the states and China and all the way back to Korea and I love you to the clouds and through universe crossed smiles all the way to sun and back. I love you guys so much," Trisha Monch posted on Facebook.
