Roy Kim is one of the Korean celebrities that many K-pop fans wouldn't like to be involved Jung Joon Young's hidden camera scandal. Unfortunately, he already does.

The singer has already been named as one of the members on Jung's controversial chatroom. Although many are surprised by the recent development in the investigation, some fans already have a suspicion that the "Only Then" hitmaker might be involved in the scandal.

When the reports first came out that Jung Joon Young has been illegally filming and distributing illegal hidden camera videos on several chatrooms, Roy Kim's name was speculated to be one of the Korean celebrities in the chatroom. Roy Kim and Jung Joon Young are known in the entertainment industry to be close friends.

The speculation, however, ended when all eight members of the chatroom were revealed. Apparently, the "Mr. Kim" who netizens believed to be Roy turned out to be a former club MD.

Now, his name got involved again and his agency released a statement with regards to the singer's participation in the illegal activity. According to Stone Music Entertainment, the 25-year-old crooner is currently studying in the U.S. and working on his schedule so he can return home. They assured that Roy Kim will return to South Korea to participate in the investigation.

The police earlier revealed that upon further investigation, they have uncovered 23 chartrooms and there are at least 16 individuals who have knowledge about the illegally taken videos. Jung Joon Young has already been charged with filming and distributing illegal videos.

Seven people, including former BIGBANG member Seungri and ex-F.T. Island member Jonghun, have been booked for the same case. The police will question Roy Kim on whether or not he simply saw the video, or he also participated in distributing the content.

"Thirteen of the 16 individuals will be questioned. Seven have been booked, and there's a chance more will be booked depending on their witness interviews. As for whether or not Roy Kim will be booked, we'll see after questioning," AllKpop quoted a police source as saying.

Roy Kim debuted in the industry in 2013 after he won in Mnet's TV talent show Superstar K 4. The following year he released his first album, Love Love Love, and its hit lead track "Bom Bom Bom." Kim has been known for singing the official soundtracks of popular K-dramas such as "Seoul, Here" for Reply 1994, ""Pinocchio" for Pinocchio, Goblin's "Heaven," "You Belong to My World" for While You Were Sleeping, and Romance Is a Bonus Book's OST "All I Do."
