BTS's Upcoming Junior K-Pop Boy Group Will Take Different Style & Concept

BTS may find a competition at their own house as the next K-pop boy band that is expected to follow their success will be introduced by Big Hit Entertainment next year. But according to reports, the new group will take a different concept to their seniors.

Big Hit confirmed earlier this week that they will introduce a new boy group early next year. The still unnamed group is already creating buzz. In fact, there were reports that some paparazzi are lurking outside Big Hit office to take photos of the agency's trainees who could possibly among the members of the new group.

Understandably that all eyes are on them right now as the steps they are about to follow left a huge imprint not only in the K-pop industry but to the international music scene as a whole. There is also a high expectation on the group that they will be as talented as their seniors if not more.

Apparently, the upcoming band will be made up of five members with an average age of 17. There were also rumors that one of the members is a mixed race and some of them seem to resemble BTS member Jungkook.

Soompi cited some industry sources as saying that Big Hit Entertainment CEO Bang Shi Hyuk is also expected to be hands-on in developing the new group like what he did with BTS. Bang is known to be the man behind the success of the septet. He helped the group rise to international fame for personally looking into the group's songs, album and music video productions, stage performances, and more.

The new group will come more than five years after RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook debut as BTS in 2013. The IDOL hitmakers are now considered as a global phenomenon as they have accomplished so much in a span of five years. So far, among their biggest achievements are the two number one albums on the Billboard album charts this year, awards from international award events, sold out world tour concerts this year, the powerful speech at the United Nations, a blockbuster concert movie, and creating a positive fandom culture among its ARMYs.

Meanwhile, BTS also took home five awards including the Daesang or grand prize in the artist category in the recent 2018 Asia Artists Awards. The "Fake Love" singers delivered speeches where they grabbed the StarPay Popularity Award, Fabulous Award, Korean Tourism Appreciation Award, and as one of the 11 artist/group that won the Artist of the Year awards for music category.
