'This Is Us' Actress Mandy Moore Reveals Meghan Markle Is A Fan Of Her NBC Drama

Hollywood is still in Meghan Markle. With her busy schedule as a member of the British royal family, it is refreshing to know that she still follow TV series, particularly the NBC's drama This Is Us.

Actress Mandy Moore has revealed that Markle is a huge fan of the show where the former plays the role of Rebecca Pearson. Moore opened up about her friendship with the Royal Highness which very few people knew.

During an interview with Access Online, Moore was surprised by a 2016 throwback group photo of her with Markle. The A Walk To Remember actress revealed that she met the 37-year-old Duchess of Sussex a long time ago as the latter's ex-husband, Trevor Engelson, was a producer of Moore's 2007 film License to Wed. Moore starred in the romantic comedy movie alongside Robin Williams and John Krasinski.

The 34-year-old actress/singer added that she and Markle spent a lot of time in Jamaica where the movie was filmed. Moore added that she also spent New Year Day celebration with Markle and Engelson and also summer in the Hamptons with the former couple.

Although it was a lifetime ago, Moore still remembers Markle as a generous and wonderful person. She added that when the news of the Suit actress engagement with Prince Harry broke out, she reached out to congratulate Markle. From there, Mandy Moore said she learned that the former actress is a fan of This Is Us.

"She was very kind and said that she really likes This Is Us. She watches the show, so that was pretty cool. She's just a normal, regular girl," Moore said.

Markle and Engelson tied the knot in 2011. The actress announced the end of their two-year marriage in 2013, and she filed a divorce a year later.

Markle famously played the role of Rachel Zane in the legal drama Suits from 2011 to 2017. She moved to London after her engagement with Prince Harry was announced in November 2017. The American actress subsequently quick acting, closed her social media accounts, and attended public engagements with the British royal family. She exchanged vows with Prince Harry in May.

Meanwhile, Moore currently stars in This Is Us Season 3. The NBC drama airs every Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET.
