Nilo's 'Feel So Good Live Concert' Canceled Following Chart Manipulation Accusations
After being accused of manipulating the music charts, Nilo's upcoming concert, Feel So Good Live Concert, is now canceled. Although they already denied this accusation, his agency, Limez Entertainment, revealed the show is now canceled as the allegations against him get worse.
"A number of people have been using 'no show' tactics of reserving tickets and canceling them," Limez Entertainment said in a statement, per All Kpop. This move makes it harder for the fans, who will watch the concert, to reserve their tickets.
In fact, there were even some netizens trolling Nilo by reserving their seats just to spell out hateful messages against him. It has been known that concertgoers can reserve their tickets without paying it in 24 hours in Korea.
Hence, the concert production team got in touch with Limez Entertainment to tell them that the concert was canceled. Allegedly, the Feel So Good Live Concert staff was having a hard time to work on the show because of the controversy surrounding Nilo.
It is strongly believed that the low ticket sale was the result of the alleged chart manipulation that involved the indie artist. To recall, the issue started when Nilo's 2017 song, "Pass," got the top spot and managed to surpass other artists' hit tracks on the Melon chart. Fans are having a hard time to believe that he actually beat TWICE, EXO, WINNER, and BIGBANG.
As the accusations against Nilo got so strong, Limez Entertainment President Lee Si Woo earlier released an official statement to deny the allegations. "Limez has never tampered with the charts," the agency head said, per Koreaboo. Lee believed that the negative claims against their artist are just fabricated and it felt sorry that the rumors like this exist. "I would also like to apologize to all of our musicians who trusted in us," the CEO added.
Later, Nilo announced that he would be having a concert, Feel So Good Live Concert, in collaboration with PENOMECO and Babylon. It was supposed to be held in Busan. Limez Entertainment has yet to release its official statement about the sudden cancellation.
