The K-pop world is a unique and complicated industry. Although most of the female idols are wearing outfits that leave little to the imagination, talking about intimate moments are considered a big deal. So when Super Junior's Heechul was asked something provocative during his guesting, his reply might be a little too much for his fans with faint hearts.

Heechul (Kim Hee-chul) just got back from Super Junior's Latin American tour, and he appeared on tvN's Life Bar on May 17. The 34-year-old South Korean singer, songwriter, presenter, and actor shared something that happened during his time on a Mexican show, which shocked the hosts and viewers.

The Super Junior star said that he was asked about something that is mostly off limits in the Korean entertainment world. Heechul then revealed that "They asked me, 'When did you lose your virginity?' I was going to answer, but I pretended to be innocent because it could also spread to Korea..."

Although Heechul didn’t answer the question, the fact that he said that he opted not to say anything and “pretended to be innocent” seemingly confirmed that he is certainly not innocent at all. However, the Super Junior singer is already in his 30s, so this revelation is not something scandalous that would ruin his career.

Heechul then noted that the main reason why he didn’t answer the question is that he was aware that whatever his reply was would reach Korea. Being in the K-pop world for over a decade, the Super Junior star already knows what topics to share and what topics to avoid.

Despite the provocative outfits, the Korean entertainment world is still very conservative when it comes to an idol’s personal life. This is also the reason why South Korean celebrities have always tried to keep their relationships as private as possible.

Take Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo’s situation as an example. The Descendants of the Sun co-stars have long been rumored to have taken their on-screen romance to off-screen. However, both camps have always remained tight-lipped about it.

Despite never confirming the status of their relationship, Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo suddenly announced that they were engaged and set to marry. Now, the couple is happily married while fans are still picking up their jaws from the floor.
