Several lucky South Korean K-pop stars have had the honor to perform in North Korea and in front of Kim Jong Un nonetheless. Now, the president of South Korea does not want to be left out and wants to experience the star-studded performance of the very same K-pop artists who performed in North Korea.

President Moon Jae In invited performers Red Velvet, Cho Yong Pil, Lee Sun Hee, YB, Jung In, Ali, Baek Ji Young, Choi JinHee, and Seohyun. They are the ones expected to come to the luncheon being prepared by the South Korean president where they will also perform along with other unmentioned artists who were also present in North Korea's cultural exchange.

The said luncheon for the North Korea K-pop performers will take place on May 11 at the Blue House executive office and official residence of the South Korean head of state. Though for some artists like Cho Yong Pil and YB's Yoon Do Hyun, this might not be new since they were also invited to the welcoming feast of Korea's summit. As for the others, this can be quite an exciting experience being welcomed by the head of the state himself.

The North Korea K-pop performers, in addition to being rewarded with personal recognition from Moon Jae In and a banquet, will also be performing their best songs in the Blue House. This may not be as historical as their visit to North Korea to perform for Kim Jong Un, but it still is a big honor for the K-pop industry as the forefront of modern South Korean culture.

The said performance of various South Korean K-pop artists in North Korea took place early in April. Kim Jong Un reportedly liked the performance and cultural exchange and even applauded the artists. This is a first for the relationship between North Korea and South Korea since, before that, the only experience the North had for K-pop was loud border speakers blasting K-pop songs to them which they even considered as an act of war.

Kim Jong Un is also the first North Korean leader to attend a K-pop concert and like it. Now that an impending peace between North and South is on the way, the said K-Pop performers should definitely consider themselves instrumental to this long-awaited peace between the two nations.
