JYP Entertainment Holds Audition For Their New Girl Group After The Departure Of 'Sixteen' Trainees
JYP has announced just recently that their agency will be holding a special audition program to find new members for their upcoming new girl group. The said audition was reportedly prompted after three of the agency’s trainees left.
On July 2, JYP Entertainment surprised the industry when it revealed a special announcement. Through a new sub-channel on YouTube called JYP Audition, the said entertainment agency announced that they will be holding auditions to find new recruits that will join the agency’s new girl group. The said audition has been titled “2017 JYP Girl Group Audition” and it will be taking place on August 13 at the JYP Training Center in Gangnam, Seoul.
JYP Entertainment is inviting girls all over the world who are were born in 1993 up to 2006 to sign up and join. All those interested to take part in the audition can either sign up for singing or dancing starting July 3 through the entertainment company’s official website. As revealed through the new video featuring TWICE member Somi, those who will be joining the audition will be given one minute to display their greatest talents and best skills fit for entertainment. The finalist will reportedly be taken in as a trainee in JYP Entertainment.
There are speculations that the abrupt audition was held after trainees Natty, Eunseo, and Jiwon recently left JYP Entertainment. The three girls participated in JYP Entertainment’s previous survival show, “Sixteen” and they are already set to join the upcoming girl group production show, “Idol School”. Natty, Eunsoo, and Jinwoo were reportedly being geared up to debut in JYP’s planned new girl group.
Fans also think that despite TWICE’s rising popularity and success, it is about time that a new girl group from JYP Entertainment has been introduced. Wonder Girls recently disbanded and there are no updates on the current situation of Miss A. As of now, TWICE is the only girl group currently promoting.
