G-Dragon's solo comeback album "Kwon Ji Yong" is smashing records left and right and is proving his mettle in the international scene. Less than 24 hours after the release of his fourth solo album, the BIG BANG leader proved that he is still the king of K-pop when he smashed the iTunes record set by PSY and BTS on the iTunes charts.

According to a report by All Kpop, G-Dragon's title track "Untitled 2014" for his album"Kwon Ji Yong" easily became the #1 track in the iTunes charts of 39 countries including United States, Chile, Finland, Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Colombia, Estonia, Finland, and Asian countries like the Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam. This proved the global superstar's strong reach in the world market and the strong excitement for his solo comeback after 2013's "One of a Kind" and gave him the record as the Korean artist with the most #1s on the iTunes chart.

G-Dragon also easily achieved an all-kill in Korean real time charts an hour after the release of his solo album. "Untitled 2014" took the #1 spot in the MelOn, Mnet, Bugs, Genie, Naver, and Soribada. All five of his songs from the album also made it to Genie's chart, taking all of the Top 5 slots in the countdown. G-Dragon also took the first three slots of the MelOn charts.

It should really not come as a surprise that G-Dragon is making waves for his solo comeback. It has been four years since his fans have seen the BIG BANG leader take the solo stage and while VIPs definitely love the talent and chemistry of BIG BANG as a five-member group, its members G-Dragon, Taeyang, Daesung, T.O.P and Seungri are all strong performers in their own right and have strong individual fanbases.

G-Dragon, in particular, has created his own brand as an artist, a global fashion icon with his own fashion line Peace Minus One and all-around international superstar starring in major successful global campaigns like most recently, Nike's "Kiss My Airs" campaign which sold out the Air Vapormax line in Korea in less than a minute. G-Dragon's kick off concert for his 19-city "ACT III: MOTTE" at the 65,000 seater Seoul World Cup Stadium also sold out in less than 8 minutes. Pre-orders for "Kwon Ji Yong" from China's QQ Music site have also reached 200,000 units in a day's time, guaranteeing a double platinum status for G-Dragon's latest project easily, Korea Portal reported.
