Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Latest News & Update

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has begun receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat in April for the single SIM model. Now, the dual-SIM variant is set to receive the Nougat update.

Android Nougat Update Rolls Out To Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Dual-Sim

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 dual-SIM will be receiving the new Android Nougat update OTA. According to reports, the update will install the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system, where the March security patch update is also featured. Once installed, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 users are expected to get immediately some new features like enhanced user interface, improved settings, split-window mode and notification controls.

Meantime, Samsung Galaxy Note 5 users are required to sufficiently charge their devices prior to downloading given that the software update files come in with a large file. Incidentally, the single-SIM Samsung Galaxy Note 5 handsets in other regions have started getting the Android 7.0 Nougat update. In fact, India has received the update as firmware build N920GDDU3CQC7, Gizbot reported.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Has Slower Storage

Samsung Galaxy S8 comes with a built-in UFS 2.1 storage, which is the fastest flash storage for the company's mobile devices. But recently, it was discovered that the smartphone manufacturer has deleted the UFS 2.1 storage from the phone's specifications page.

According to reports, Samsung Galaxy S8 page initially announced that the device is shipped with UFS 2.1 storage, although there was a line that says "may differ by country and carrier." Nevertheless, Samsung has completely removed the UFS 2.1 part since, which the buyers eventually discovered.

Samsung Galaxy S8, which is powered by Snapdragon 835 processor has slower UFS 2.0 storage instead. Reports suggest that it is the Samsung' version in the US that features 800MB sequential read speeds, which is 300MB faster compared to UFS' 2.0 performance. BGR reported.
