"Uncharted 4" multiplayer will have no dedicated servers when the game is released. This has been confirmed by the developers, according to Gamespot.

Way back on E3, "Uncharted 4" was showcased on the PlayStation event. It showed gameplay and many more features of the single player experience. There was no mention of the multiplayer features at that time.

"Uncharted 4" for multiplayer gaming will only have peer-to-peer setup and will not have dedicated servers. Similar games of Naughty Dog, game developer, had the same setup, according to sources.

"We'll still have a host, it's still peer-to-peer," said Robert Cogburn, Lead Multiplayer Designer of the game.

There was no mention of how the host-switching will work in the event of players dropping out intentionally or having network issues, according to VG247. He also confirmed that there will be a five-versus-five matches which means the maximum number of players in a match will be 5.

For those who want to try out for the multiplayer mode of the game, they can try it out in beta on Dec. 4. There will only be one mode which is Team Deathmatch to be included in the test, according to sources.

"Uncharter 4" multiplayer will also have the vehicles after the game is launched. The lead multiplayer designer said at the Paris conference for the PlayStation that vehicles are on the list that they will try out once the game will launch this coming March 18, 2016.

"I can tell you for ship we will not have vehicles, but it is something we're hoping to tackle in the future," Cogburn said in a Q&A session.

There will also be microtransactions since there is an in-game currency model, according to sources.

"Microtransactions will be available at launch, but we'll have no gameplay items that will be gated through microtransactions," he replied.
