North Korea Is Unfazed By The US Threats Of Increased Sanctions

According to the North Korean mission deputy ambassador to the UN Choe Myong-nam, the country is not afraid of any sanctions from the US, including a prohibition of the global transactions system. He even called the current sanctions as "inhumane."

North Korea has been under sanctions for "half a century", and the only way that the communist state survives is by putting so much focus on being self-sufficient, as noted by the deputy ambassador. He further revealed that his country wishes to have an international forum that will study the legitimacy and legality of the sanctions regime.

The North Korean ambassador to the UN  also criticized the joint military exercises that are being carried out by South Korea and the US on the divided peninsula. He denounced as well the remarks from Tillerson during his talks with some regional allies recently.

Meantime, North Korea dismisses the claims by Seoul and  Washington about the defensive military drills. Reportedly, it will include strategic nuclear bombers and also a nuclear submarine Columbus, which entered the South Korean ports recently, Aljazeera reported.

North Korea's New Missile Failed To Launch

Days following the isolated regime claimed a major breakthrough in the country's rocket development program, North Korea's latest attempt to showcase its military power may be in question after a missile exploded just within seconds since its launch. Based on reports, the US military was able to detect the failed missile launch attempt.

The failed North Korean missile launch attempt was detected by the US Pacific Command in the vicinity of Kalma. A spokesman for US Pacific Command further revealed that the missile seems to have exploded within seconds of launch and that work being done on a more detailed examination, News reported.
