‘Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo’ Star Lee Sung Kyung Display's Cute Camaraderie With Nam Joo Hyuk, Park Hyung Sik
Lee Sung Kyung is one of the actresses in the South Korean entertainment industry who was able to form a close friendship with several male actors. Recently, the "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" star conveyed her support for Nam Joo Hyuk during a fanboy moment and even showed her bright personality while bonding with Park Hyung Sik.
Lee has kept herself busy in the recent months with various projects that included the drama "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo." Having played the titular role in the said MBC series, viewers saw the model-actress' onscreen chemistry with co-star Nam, who portrayed Bok Joo's love interest Joon Hyung.
The drama may have already ended its 16-episode run in mid-January, however, the two South Korean stars remained friends. Lee even showed her support for Nam when he fulfilled his wish to see his basketball idol Stephen Curry in person.
The actor was one of the courtside spectators who watched the Feb. 8 match between the Chicago Bulls and the Golden State Warriors. Nam's attendance to the event was captured on the sporting cable channel ESPN, a scene that Lee proudly took a screenshot of and shared on her Instagram account.
A representative from the actor's agency YG Entertainment also confirmed Nam's appearance on the said NBA game. Given that the "Scarlet Heart: Ryeo" actor was in the U.S. for a photoshoot, coupled with his interest in basketball, Nam made the most of his visit to see his idol Curry in action, Korean news outlet Donga quoted the representative as saying.
In other news, Lee showed off her cute side with Park in a recent Naver V interview. Both were tapped to voice the two lead characters in the Korean version of the animated DreamWorks movie "Trolls," Korea Herald reported.
The two South Korean celebrities even danced to the movie's main theme song. Lee and the "Hwarang" actor, who voiced the characters Poppy and Branch, respectively, also showed off their vocal prowess as they sang one of the songs featured in the Hollywood film.
