TWICE Is Music Bank Queen of 2016, “TT” Continues to Dominate

TWICE, JYP's breakthrough group this year, managed to cheer up actress Song Ji Hyo with their performance even after a technical mishap at the "2016 SBS Gayo Daejun."

The nine-member girl group pulled off an impressive act Sunday night that apparently dazzled not just their fans but also made the only female "Running Man" cast member happily dance to their hit song "TT."

The 35-year-old actress emerged from a tough week and reportedly went incommunicado after being blindsided on her cancellation from "Running Man" with fellow cast member Kim Jong Kook.

She shed tears a while later when the youngest "Running Man" Lee Kwang Soo capped the night with an emotional speech for his Top Excellence Award for Variety Show.

The camera, meanwhile, captured the radiant actress dancing along to the point dance which the TWICE members themselves taught her when they guested on a recent "Running Man" episode.

The "Nation's MC" and another "Running Man" Yoo Jae Suk was also seen cheering for TWICE.

The highest-selling girl group ever on Hanteo and Gaon's charts was also cheered for their professionalism after SBS played another girl group's song before realizing their mistake. TWICE stood stock-still for 30 seconds to G-Friend's music but still went ahead and gave an awesome performance.

TWICE also garnered praises for their professionalism when they performed under heavy rain for Cultwo's 10-year anniversary special.

JYP Entertainment's CEO Jung Wook also took obvious pride in the young girl group which only made its debut last year.

"This is just the beginning for TWICE. They should stay humble because they still have a long way to go," the CEO told E-Daily in an interview, as reported by allkpop. "As for their achievements, they've done far better than expected...The execution was better than we planned."

He considered TWICE as the fourth JYP profit-maker of 2016, falling behind GOT7. Actress and Miss A's Suzy is considered second best while the eight-year-old boy band 2PM snitched the top spot.
