Starship's KiiKiii Rings in Lunar New Year with Princess Hours-Themed Photos
Rookie girl group KiiKiii celebrated their first Lunar New Year holiday with fans by recreating looks from the iconic 2006 K-drama "Goong" (Princess Hours).
The five members-Jiyu, Leesol, Sui, Haum, and Kya-posted the photos on February 16 through their official social media channels. Each member wore distinct royal-inspired outfits, including the drama's signature school uniform, traditional green dangui robes, gonryongpo dragon garments, and modern hanbok interpretations.
The group posed with "Happy New Year" banners in both formal and playful shots that captured their youthful energy.
"This is our first Lunar New Year with Tiki since debut, so it feels especially meaningful," KiiKiii said through Starship Entertainment. "We're grateful we could share good news starting in January and celebrate the holiday season with fans."
The group added: "Through this album, we wanted to say 'This year, be yourself-a little more boldly.' We're proud that message reached people, and we'll keep working hard to give back."
KiiKiii debuted March 24, 2025 with their EP "Uncut Gem" featuring title track "I DO ME," which promoted themes of independence and self-confidence. The song earned them multiple rookie awards in 2025, including honors at the Seoul Music Awards, K-World Dream Awards, The Fact Music Awards, and Asia Artist Awards.
Their second mini-album "Delulu Pack" dropped January 26, 2026 with title track "404 (New Era)." The song hit number one on Melon TOP100 on February 10-just 16 days after release. It also topped YouTube Music, Apple Music, Spotify Korea, and Bugs simultaneously.
Beyond music, the group was named Seoul's first "Seoul Color" ambassadors in January 2026, representing the city's 2026 color "Morning Yellow." They've also partnered with a global headwear brand.
In less than a year since debut, KiiKiii has won 13 trophies across music shows and award ceremonies while earning international recognition from outlets including The Hollywood Reporter, NME, and Billboard.
