BTS Breaks Fashion Record With 15 Simultaneous GQ Magazine Covers Ahead of March Comeback
BTS achieved a first for any Korean artist by appearing on GQ magazine covers in 15 countries simultaneously, BigHit Music announced February 13.
The group secured March 2026 covers across South Korea, the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, Mexico, Germany, Thailand, Spain, Italy, India, Taiwan, France, South Africa, the Middle East, and Australia. No Korean act has previously coordinated this scale of international fashion magazine coverage at once.
Cover images show all seven members-RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook-surrounded by microphones in what BigHit described as symbolic of worldwide media attention for their return.
March 20 Album Release Follows Military Service
The GQ feature precedes "ARIRANG," the group's 14-track fifth studio album releasing March 20, 2026, at 1 p.m. KST. This marks their first group release since June 2022's "Proof" and their complete reunion after finishing South Korea's mandatory military service.
All seven members completed service between 2022 and 2025. Jin finished first in June 2024, while SUGA concluded his service June 21, 2025. The group entered hiatus in December 2022.
In the GQ interview, members stressed their team-first approach. "We debuted as a team, and that is our identity," they stated, noting they prioritize the collective over individual careers.
They addressed ARMY, their fandom, calling the relationship reciprocal and acknowledging difficulty measuring fan support's scale. "Whenever we feel its weight, we think carefully about the message we should send," members said, expressing commitment to positive influence.
Netflix To Stream Gwanghwamun Square Performance
"BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG" will stream globally on Netflix March 21 at 8 p.m. KST from Seoul's Gwanghwamun Square. The historic location near Gyeongbokgung Palace marks its first standalone artist concert since 2022 redevelopment.
The ARIRANG World Tour launches April 9, 2026, in Goyang, South Korea, with 82 shows across 34 regions through 2027. The tour covers Asia, North America, Latin America, Europe, and Australia. Selected Goyang and Tokyo performances will broadcast live to 3,500 theaters in 75 countries.
Netflix documentary "BTS: THE RETURN," directed by Bao Nguyen, premieres March 27, 2026, covering the album's creation process.
The 15-country GQ coordination demonstrates both fashion industry positioning and sustained cultural reach as the seven members return to full group activities after nearly four years.
