Jin Wins Japan's Kstyle Awards Best Solo Artist with Nearly 30% Fan Vote
BTS Jin dominated the inaugural Kstyle Awards, securing Best Solo Artist with 29.36% of the vote in Japan's first-ever K-pop awards ceremony dedicated exclusively to fan preferences.
The Japan-Korea collaborative awards show, co-hosted by Kstyle and IDOLCHAMP, announced results on January 30. Jin will receive a specially-made trophy recognizing his victory in the 100% fan-voted competition that measured 2025's standout performances.
"We will deliver a specially made original trophy to Jin who won the BEST SOLO ARTIST," Kstyle's official social media confirmed, drawing strong reactions from global fans.
Building Momentum Across Multiple Award Shows
Jin's Kstyle win extends a pattern that's played out since late 2025. He won the UPbit Popularity Award (Male Artist) at the 40th Golden Disc Awards on January 10, 2026, in Taipei. Mexican pop radio station House Radio named him "2025 K-POP Artist" for the second straight year, while his song "Don't Say You Love Me" earned separate recognition in their K-POP Song category.
The track drove most of his recent recognition. Billboard Brazil selected it as 2025's best K-pop male solo song, and Brazil's BreakTudo Awards 2025 in São Paulo gave it International Hit of the Year. At the Asian Pop Music Awards on December 30, Jin took home Record of the Year plus a Top 20 Songs of the Year nod-both for "Don't Say You Love Me."
Echo Album Fuels Global Recognition
Released May 16, 2025, Jin's second mini-album Echo delivered seven tracks exploring heartbreak, ambition, and self-reflection. The title track "Don't Say You Love Me" showcased his emotional vocal range over a stripped-down pop arrangement, resonating with listeners who'd experienced similar relationship struggles.
Rolling Stone India included the song on its best K-pop tracks of 2025 list. On Amazon's U.S. all-genre digital download chart for 2025, it posted the highest sales among K-pop artists-demonstrating purchasing power that translated across streaming platforms and physical sales.
Jin's wins now span four continents. From South Korea's Golden Disc Awards to Japan's Kstyle ceremony, from Mexican radio recognition to Brazilian award shows, he's built a portfolio that reflects genuine cross-cultural appeal rather than regional dominance.
While other BTS members pursue individual projects during the group's temporary break, Jin's consistent award presence throughout 2025 positions him as one of K-pop's commercially viable solo acts heading into 2026.
