Teen Top's Changjo broke his silence on January 5, revealing he's dating Kasper, a former rapper who now runs successful beauty companies. The announcement ends years of privacy around the 29-year-old idol's personal life.

Instagram Reveal Follows Kasper's Dating Post

Kasper sparked the conversation first. On January 1, she posted an Instagram photo from a car date, tagging Changjo's account. Fans quickly connected the dots, and speculation spread across social media for four days before Changjo addressed it directly.

"Everyone, I'm in a relationship!" Changjo wrote in his Instagram Story on January 5. He admitted some fans already knew while others would be surprised by the news.

Why Changjo Chose to Speak Out

The Teen Top member explained his decision to go public in personal terms. "There were moments during my activities when I was emotionally and mentally unstable," he shared. His partner helped him through those difficult periods.

"She's someone who helps turn my shortcomings into something positive and continues to support me," Changjo wrote. He described feeling more emotionally stable now, allowing him to focus better on performing and making music.

Changjo apologized to fans who felt startled or disappointed. "I'm truly sorry for not being able to share this sooner due to my fear," he admitted, acknowledging his "poor way with words."

PA Entertainment Confirms Dating Reports

PA Entertainment, Changjo's current agency, verified the relationship to Sports Chosun. "The two are in a relationship," a company representative said. "Please continue to support them with warm eyes as he works hard on his activities going forward."

Changjo signed with PA Entertainment in October 2025, several months after completing military service in May 2025. He enlisted in November 2023 and served for 18 months.

From Teen Top to Solo Artist

Changjo debuted with Teen Top in July 2010 as the group's main dancer, vocalist, and youngest member. The second-generation group achieved major success with songs like "Going Crazy," "No Joke," and "To You."

His contract with original agency TOP Media expired in January 2022, though he remained active with Teen Top for group activities. The four-member group recently celebrated their 15th anniversary with concerts in August 2025 and released "Just 15, Just Teen Top."

Since his military discharge, Changjo has focused on solo work. He released the single "All In My Zone" in October 2025 and held a solo concert called "The Beginning" in November 2025.

Kasper's Journey From Rap to Business

Kasper, born Lee Se-rin in 1993, first gained attention through hip-hop competition shows. She competed on "Unpretty Rapstar 2" in 2015 and appeared on "Show Me the Money" seasons 4 and 6.

She debuted with co-ed group Play the Siren under SM Entertainment's subsidiary label in 2014. After the group disbanded, Kasper released her solo single "Lean on Me" in January 2017.

Her career shifted dramatically toward entrepreneurship. Kasper now runs beauty companies that she says generate combined annual sales exceeding 10 billion won (approximately $7 million USD). She recently thanked supporters on social media for helping both companies reach this milestone.

What This Means for K-pop Dating Culture

Changjo's direct announcement approach differs from how many idol relationships become public. Rather than letting rumors grow or having agencies release statements first, he chose to personally address fans through Instagram.

His candid discussion of emotional struggles and the support he receives from his partner marks a vulnerable moment rarely seen in K-pop announcements. The 16-year career veteran spoke openly about fear preventing earlier disclosure.

Teen Top continues planning international activities, including concerts in Japan and Taiwan as part of their anniversary celebrations. Whether Changjo's relationship announcement will affect group or solo promotions remains to be seen, though PA Entertainment expressed support for his continued work.
