ILLIT Claims First Win for "NOT CUTE ANYMORE" on Music Bank
BELIFT LAB's rookie group ILLIT grabbed their first music show trophy for comeback track "NOT CUTE ANYMORE" during the December 5 broadcast of KBS2's Music Bank.
The five-member act-Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, and Iroha-beat RIIZE's "Fame" with 7,593 points to take home the win.
"We really didn't expect this," the members said during their acceptance speech. "Thank you GLLIT, and everyone who helped make this comeback happen."
Performance Marks Concept Evolution
The group's Music Bank stage showed off their shift from the bright, playful vibe they're known for. The choreography builds tension with synchronized head movements before hitting a dramatic switch-members going from smiles to completely blank expressions during the song's killing part.
Styling leaned into winter aesthetics with fur hats and boots, while the encore stage let them showcase live vocals without heavy backing tracks.
Charts Tell a Growth Story
Since dropping November 24, "NOT CUTE ANYMORE" has racked up solid numbers globally. The track hit #1 on Spotify's U.S. Top Song Debut chart and #2 worldwide during the November 28-30 tracking period, crossing 10 million streams in its first week.
In Japan, it topped Billboard's Hot Shot Songs chart-a ranking system tracking rapidly rising tracks. On Korean platforms, the song climbed Apple Music's daily chart from #47 to #3 within two weeks.
The music video surpassed 10 million YouTube views in 29 hours, while the audio went viral across TikTok and Instagram Reels with over 60,000 user videos.
Reception and What's Next
Cosmopolitan Indonesia highlighted the performance's addictive quality, particularly how the members switch facial expressions in sync with the lyrics.
ILLIT continues promotions with upcoming performances on MBC's Show! Music Core (December 6) and SBS's Inkigayo (December 7).
December's packed with major appearances: Japan's FNS Music Festival on the 10th, Music Bank Global Festival in Japan on the 13th, TBS's CDTV Live! Live! Christmas Special on the 15th, and NHK's prestigious Kohaku Uta Gassen on December 31.
