BTS Jin and J-Hope Top Pollstar Charts as Highest-Ranked Korean Solo Artists
Two BTS members have made history on the latest Pollstar concert industry charts, proving their drawing power as solo performers extends far beyond the group's massive fanbase.
Jin landed at No. 14 on Pollstar's "Top 20 Global Concert Tours" chart, while J-Hope secured the No. 5 spot on the "Asia Focus Charts: Top Touring Artists." Both rankings make them the highest-charting Korean solo artists in their respective categories.
Jin's Tour Breaks Records Across Three Continents
Jin's #RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR ran from June through August, hitting nine cities with 18 sold-out shows. The tour grossed $2.74 million per city on average, according to Pollstar's calculations.
His two nights at Osaka's Kyocera Dome brought in $9.6 million-the highest single-venue earnings ever recorded for a K-pop solo artist. Even the venue's rarely opened eighth floor sold out completely.
In the U.S., Jin became the first Asian solo artist to sell out Dallas's American Airlines Center. He also set an attendance record at Anaheim's Honda Center, drawing over 25,000 fans across two nights.
The tour made him the first Korean solo artist to headline London's O2 Arena, playing to 20,000 fans each night. He wrapped up with encore shows in Incheon on October 31 and November 1.
J-Hope Draws 524,000 Fans Worldwide
J-Hope's "HOPE ON THE STAGE" tour pulled in 524,000 fans across 33 shows in 16 cities between February and June. In Asia alone, he sold out 21 shows across 10 cities, attracting 342,000 attendees.
The tour included a historic moment at Los Angeles's BMO Stadium, where J-Hope became the first BTS member to headline a solo stadium show. His final performances at Goyang Stadium on June 13-14 featured guest appearances from fellow BTS members.
Critical Response and Awards
International media praised both tours. Rolling Stone UK called Jin "a truly one-of-a-kind entertainer," while LA Times described his show as "a master class in fan connection."
Forbes labeled J-Hope's tour "a masterpiece showing creativity and musical pinnacle," with NME noting how he "proved his talent and intense energy again."
At the Korea Grand Music Awards on November 14-15, Jin won Best Music Video for "Don't Say You Love Me" from his second album "Echo." J-Hope took home Best Hip Hop. Their bandmates V and Jimin also won awards in the Trend of the Year and Fan Favorite categories.
Both artists completed their mandatory military service in 2024 before launching these tours, demonstrating that time away from the spotlight hasn't diminished their commercial appeal.
