KISS OF LIFE Japanese Debut: 'TOKYO MISSION START' Album Drops with December Tour
K-pop quartet KISS OF LIFE entered the Japanese market November 5 with debut mini album "TOKYO MISSION START," featuring new track "Lucky" and setting up a three-city December tour.
The six-track release centers on contemporary R&B with early-2000s influences. S2 Entertainment describes "Lucky" as blending modern production with nostalgic elements, though the album's immediate commercial performance remains modest-reaching ninth on Oricon's daily chart.
Beyond the title track, "TOKYO MISSION START" packages Japanese versions of Korean singles "Sticky," "Midas Touch," and "Shhh," plus remixes of "Nobody Knows" and "R.E.M." The group pre-released "Sticky (Japanese Ver.)" on October 15.
The album debuted at a November 5 release event at DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, where members performed both "Shhh" and "Sticky" in Japanese. A weeklong pop-up ran through November 12 at SHIBUYA109.
KISS OF LIFE's Japan debut tour "Lucky Day" launches December 10 at Fukuoka Sun Palace, continues December 11-12 at Osaka's Grand Cube, and concludes December 16 at Tokyo Garden Theater.
The four members-Julie, Natty, Belle, and Haneul-debuted in South Korea in July 2023. They completed their first world tour "KISS ROAD" earlier this year, performing across North America, Europe, and Asia between October 2024 and May 2025.
Japan represents the group's first dedicated international market push since their Korean debut. The strategy follows established K-pop patterns of targeting Japan's substantial music market as a stepping stone for broader Asian expansion.
