ATEEZ to Perform at 2025 Korea Grand Music Awards After Record-Breaking Billboard Year
K-pop group ATEEZ will take the stage at the 2025 Korea Grand Music Awards on November 14, capping a career-defining year that saw them break into the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time.
The eight-member act is scheduled to perform at Incheon's Inspire Arena during the ceremony's opening night. According to their agency, the group is preparing a special stage commemorating their seventh anniversary, which they celebrated just weeks earlier in October.
Hot 100 History Made
ATEEZ entered uncharted territory in June when "Lemon Drop" debuted at No. 69 on the Billboard Hot 100. The achievement placed them alongside BTS and Stray Kids as the only K-pop boy groups ever to chart on the competitive ranking.
The group's second Hot 100 entry came just a month later. "In Your Fantasy" peaked at No. 68, improving on their initial placement. Both tracks appeared on their 12th mini-album "Golden Hour: Part.3," which opened at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with 105,000 units sold.
Billboard included "Lemon Drop" in their mid-year "25 Best K-Pop Songs of 2025" list at No. 3, noting the group's ability to craft global hits through classic club sounds.
Two Years, Two No. 1 Albums
The group's Billboard 200 dominance began in December 2023 with "The World EP.Fin: Will," which debuted atop the chart with 152,000 units. They repeated the feat in November 2024 when "Golden Hour: Part.2" opened at No. 1 with 184,000 units-their largest debut week.
ATEEZ now joins BTS and Stray Kids as one of three K-pop acts with multiple Billboard 200 chart-toppers. They've placed nine albums on the chart total, with six consecutive top 10 entries.
Government Recognition
In October, ATEEZ received the Prime Minister's Commendation at the Korea Popular Culture and Arts Awards. The government honor recognized their contributions to spreading Korean culture globally through music and performance.
The timing proved significant-the ceremony took place on October 23, just one day before the group's seventh debut anniversary. ATEEZ debuted on October 24, 2018.
Festival Firsts
ATEEZ became the first K-pop boy group to perform at Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in April 2024. They played two weekend sets on the Sahara stage, drawing crowds that included many experiencing K-pop live for the first time.
Their Japanese comeback album "Ashes to Light" topped both Oricon's Daily and Weekly Album Rankings in September, marking their first Japanese full-length release in over four years.
2025 KGMA Return
Last year's inaugural KGMA proved successful for ATEEZ. They won Best Song and Grand Honor's Choice-a major prize category-while delivering a performance that industry observers praised for its production quality.
This year's ceremony runs November 14-15 at Inspire Arena. ATEEZ performs on opening night alongside THE BOYZ, BOYNEXTDOOR, FIFTY FIFTY, and other acts. Actress Nam Ji-hyun and Red Velvet's Irene will host Day 1.
The group's current "In Your Fantasy" world tour continues through 2026, with Asian and Australian dates scheduled after completing North American stadium shows in five cities including New York and Los Angeles.
What's Next
ATEEZ's trajectory shows no signs of slowing. With proven success on both album and singles charts, plus sold-out arena tours across multiple continents, the group has established themselves among K-pop's top-tier acts.
Their KGMA performance will offer fans a first look at how the group plans to close out 2025 before heading into their eighth year since debut.
