Jungkook's "Seven" Earns Platinum in France: BTS Star's First Solo Certification Upgrade from SNEP
BTS member Jungkook has achieved Platinum certification in France for his debut solo single "Seven," featuring rapper Latto. The French National Syndicate of Phonographic Publishing (SNEP) announced the milestone on September 29, 2025, marking the track's 30 million streams in the country.
First Platinum After Multiple Gold Certifications
This represents Jungkook's first Platinum certification from SNEP as a solo artist. The achievement follows three previous Gold certifications in France: "Seven" (April 2024), "Standing Next to You" (April 2025), and "3D" (August 2025). His debut album "GOLDEN" also holds Gold certification in France, making it the first K-pop solo album to receive this recognition from SNEP.

Commercial Performance Highlights
Released on July 14, 2023, "Seven" debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and Global 200 charts. The track earned global recognition, including International Song of the Year at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards and Song of the Summer at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.
The single became the longest-charting song by a K-pop act in Spotify Global history and was the fastest song to surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify. In the United States, "Seven" sold 228,000 digital copies in 2023 alone, ranking as the seventh best-selling digital single that year.
Album Success and Career Momentum
Jungkook's debut album "GOLDEN," released November 3, 2023, sold over 2.4 million copies in its first week and earned RIAA Platinum certification. The album reached 5.4 billion streams on Spotify by April 2025, becoming the first album by an Asian solo artist to achieve this milestone.
The BTS member became the first K-pop solo artist to have five songs exceed 1 million units sold in the United States: "Standing Next to You," "Seven," "3D," "Euphoria," and "Left and Right."
Post-Military Plans
Jungkook completed his mandatory South Korean military service on June 11, 2025, after enlisting in December 2023. He served in the 5th Infantry Division Artillery Brigade alongside fellow BTS member Jimin. With six of seven BTS members now discharged, the group is preparing for their full reunion.
The France Platinum certification demonstrates the sustained commercial appeal of "Seven" more than two years after its release, reinforcing Jungkook's position as one of K-pop's most successful solo artists in international markets.
