P1Harmony Cracks Billboard 200 Top 10 with English Album EX at Number 9
K-pop sextet P1Harmony has achieved their best Billboard performance yet, breaking into the top 10 of the prestigious Billboard 200 chart for the first time.
Released on September 26, their English-language mini-album EX debuted at number 9 on the chart dated October 11, according to Billboard's announcement on October 5. The achievement shatters their previous peak of number 16 with SAD SONG earlier this year.
Record-Breaking Sales Week
The album moved 40,000 equivalent units in its first week ending October 2, according to Luminate data. Traditional album sales accounted for nearly 39,000 units-the group's strongest sales performance in the US market to date. Streaming contributed 1,000 units from 2.06 million on-demand plays.
EX also claimed the number 2 position on the Top Album Sales chart, making it the second best-selling physical album in America that week.
Fifth Consecutive Chart Entry
This marks P1Harmony's fifth straight appearance on the Billboard 200. Their previous entries include HARMONY: ALL IN at number 51, Killin' It at number 39, SAD SONG at number 16, and DUH! at number 23. Each release has shown upward momentum, demonstrating the group's expanding US fanbase.
Targeted Approach for North America
EX represents a calculated move to deepen the group's presence in Western markets. The five-track release features entirely English and Spanish lyrics, with songs including the title track Ex, Dancing Queen, Stupid Brain, Night of My Life, and a Spanish version of Ex.
The project was developed in partnership with hello82, which has managed P1Harmony's US operations. For the first time, all six members-Keeho, Theo, Jiung, Intak, Soul, and Jongseob-received creative producer credits, marking increased artistic control over their work.
Physical versions included 17 CD variants and six vinyl editions with collectible items, some randomized to drive multiple purchases.
Strategic Tour Timing
The album dropped during P1Harmony's ongoing third world tour, 2025 P1Harmony LIVE TOUR P1ustage H: MOST WANTED. After launching in Seoul on August 9-10, the group performed across Sydney, Singapore, Kaohsiung, Macau, and Yokohama before starting their North American leg on September 27-just one day after EX hit stores.
The US tour includes stops in Newark, Fairfax, Toronto, Fort Worth, Duluth, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Oakland. Two days before the album release, P1Harmony performed Ex on Good Morning America, generating significant media exposure.
Rising Trajectory
Since debuting under FNC Entertainment in October 2020, P1Harmony has steadily climbed. Their May 2025 release DUH! sold 443,108 copies in its first week in Korea, setting a group record at that time.
The Billboard 200 top 10 entry cements P1Harmony as serious contenders in the global market. With their tour continuing and international recognition growing, the six-member act shows no signs of plateauing.
