10CM Kwon Jung Yeol Named Host of KBS 'The Seasons' 2025: Everything About the New Music Show

Korean indie singer-songwriter Kwon Jung Yeol of 10CM has been announced as the eighth host of KBS2's popular late-night music talk show "The Seasons," premiering September 5, 2025.
New Season Title Chosen by Fans
The upcoming season will be titled "The Seasons: 10CM's Sseudam Sseudam" (쓰담쓰담), meaning "to comfort" or "to pat gently." The title was selected through a public contest where viewers submitted suggestions based on 10CM's hit songs.
"We received many title suggestions from fans, including ones based on his popular songs like 'Hug Me' and 'Night of Passion,'" explained the production team at Thursday's press conference at KBS Art Hall. "However, 'Sseudam Sseudam' was chosen as it perfectly captures the show's comforting message for Friday night viewers ending their work week."
From Most Frequent Guest to Host
10CM holds the unique record as the most frequent guest performer across both "You Hee-yeol's Sketchbook" and "The Seasons" series, appearing over 15 times across these KBS programs during his career.
"Despite being on this stage for over 15 years, I still feel nervous and excited," Kwon Jung Yeol admitted during the press conference. "As an active musician, I believe I can understand and comfort the hearts of the artists who appear on the show."
The 42-year-old artist acknowledged the challenge of following previous host Park Bo-gum, whose season "Park Bo-gum's Cantabile" concluded in August 2025.
First Recording Features Major Artists
The inaugural recording session on September 2nd featured Lee Chan-hyuk, Lee Seok-hoon, Ko Young-bae, Epik High, and comedian Song Eun-i. During the marathon session, 10CM performed over ten songs, showcasing his versatility as both host and performer.
Band master Jung Dong-hwan from MeloMance, who leads the show's house band, observed 10CM's natural leadership: "I saw his slightly nervous side initially, but also witnessed how he cared for the other performers. His experience really shows."
The Seasons' Rotating Host Legacy

10CM's Musical Journey
Born Kwon Jung Yeol on March 1, 1983, in Gumi, South Korea, he originally debuted as part of duo 10CM in 2010 with the viral hit "Americano." After his partner Yoon Cheol-jong departed in 2017, Kwon continued as a solo artist under the 10CM name.
The artist experienced a career resurgence in 2024 through K-drama soundtracks, particularly "Tell Me It's Not a Dream" from "Queen of Tears" and "Spring Snow" from "Lovely Runner," which gained international recognition.
What to Expect from New Season
Producer Choi Seung-hee expressed confidence in 10CM's musical abilities: "Kwon Jung Yeol's outstanding songwriting and composition skills create high expectations. When music passes through his hands, even idol music takes on different arrangements."
The show airs every Friday night on KBS2, though specific broadcast times vary. Previous seasons have typically recorded 0-1% viewership ratings due to the late-night time slot, but consistently generate significant buzz and social media engagement.
Future Guest Wishlist
When asked about potential guests, Kwon Jung Yeol expressed particular interest in collaborating with singer-songwriter Jang Beom-jun: "We have a friendship and I respect him as a musician, but we've never done a broadcast together. I think it would be fresh for viewers."
He also mentioned wanting to invite previous "Seasons" host Lee Moon-sae, demonstrating respect for the show's legacy.
"The Seasons: 10CM's Sseudam Sseudam" promises to bring the artist's signature indie sensibility and musical expertise to KBS's long-running tradition of late-night music programming, continuing the 30-year legacy that includes legendary shows like "Lee So-ra's Propose" and "Yoon Do-hyun's Love Letter."
