Evan Is Bringing His Solo Debut to the Grammy Museum
Evan - the artist formerly known as ENHYPEN's Heeseung - will perform and sit for an in-depth conversation at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles on Aug. 14, Belift Lab confirmed Thursday. The program is part of the museum's "Spotlight" series, which pairs live performance with an on-stage interview about an artist's creative process.
The 7:30 p.m. event takes place on the museum's Ray Charles Rooftop Terrace, with a cash bar available beforehand. Evan will discuss the making of "Ride or Die," his debut digital single released June 22, along with his broader musical identity as a solo artist. Belift Lab describes him as "an all-round vocalist with a trendy and sweet tone," building a sound distinct from his work in ENHYPEN.
The Grammy Museum's Spotlight series has become a recurring touchpoint for K-pop artists stepping into solo or global-facing work: past guests have included Katseye and BLACKPINK's Rosé, alongside non-K-pop names like Doechii and Chappell Roan. Evan's booking places him in that same track record less than four months after his departure from ENHYPEN, and marks one of the first US-facing showcases for a HYBE-affiliated artist stepping fully into a solo identity this year.
Belift Lab announced Evan's exit from ENHYPEN on March 10, later reintroducing him under the new stage name the same month. During his time in the group, he contributed songwriting and production credits to tracks including "Highway 1009," "Sleep Tight" and "Dial Tragedy." A representative said in May that new solo music was being prepared for a June release, which arrived as scheduled with "Ride or Die."
The Grammy Museum date isn't Evan's only Los Angeles stop this summer. He's also scheduled to perform the following day, Aug. 15, at KCON LA's M Countdown concert - giving him back-to-back Los Angeles appearances just as his solo career gets underway. The pairing gives Evan two distinct introductions to the same audience within 24 hours: an intimate rooftop conversation aimed at framing his artistic identity, followed by a festival-scale performance slot built for a broader K-pop crowd.
Belift Lab has not announced further single or album details beyond "Ride or Die."
