Seven months after Fame, RIIZE is back. SM Entertainment confirmed the six-member group's second mini album, II, drops June 15 at 6 PM KST with "dyd" as the title track. It's the group's first extended play release since their debut mini album RIIZING in June 2024 - the intervening releases being a full-length studio album (Odyssey, May 2025) and a single album (Fame, November 2025).

The "dyd" promotional rollout has leaned into a specific concept: "a collection of senses heading toward a better attitude," according to the comeback trailer, which centers on member Seongchan navigating "time spent entirely alone." The group's official hashtag pairs the album title with RISEandREALIZE - the internal philosophy RIIZE has used since their 2023 debut. Whether the concept represents a genuine creative shift or a restatement of the same theme is something II will have to answer in the music.

What's changed since RIIZING is the group's live track record. RIIZE completed their second world tour, RIIZING LOUD, in March 2026 - 37 shows across 21 regions, 420,000 total fans. As part of that tour, they became the first K-pop boy group to perform at Lollapalooza South America, with stops in Argentina, Chile, and Brazil. Earlier this year, UK guitar magazine Guitar.com named Wonbin and Anton as rising guitar artists to watch in the Asian music scene - a notable piece of coverage for a K-pop act in a publication that typically operates at a remove from the genre. Both data points matter for the same reason: RIIZE are building a profile outside the K-pop infrastructure, not just within it.

The Odyssey album from May 2025 was the group's commercial peak to date - a full-length release with genuine critical traction and strong domestic chart performance. Fame, the November single, was a shorter release designed to sustain the cycle rather than extend it. II is the first proper EP since debut, which means it carries a different kind of expectation: not just "what's the sound now" but "what is the second chapter of RIIZE actually about."

The timing is competitive. June 15 puts II between two high-profile releases in the same general calendar - TWICE's Seoul finale presale opens June 9, and ATEEZ's GOLDEN HOUR: Part.5 drops June 26. In terms of pure chart competition, RIIZE are operating at a tier below both - their debut EP sold approximately 870,000 copies in its first week, compared to ATEEZ's 1.54 million on Part.4. But RIIZE's trajectory since 2023 has consistently exceeded early projections, and II arrives with a fanbase that has now been through a full world tour cycle.

Pre-orders open now through SM Entertainment's official channels. II releases June 15 at 6 PM KST.
