EVAN Gets a June Debut Date. What He Does With It Is the Only Question Left.
Three months after leaving ENHYPEN, the artist formerly known as Heeseung has a timeline.
BELIFT LAB confirmed Monday that EVAN is targeting a June release for his solo debut, his first music under the new stage name he adopted in April. The agency offered no further details - no date, no title, no format - but the announcement closes the last open question about what comes after March 10, when the label announced his departure from ENHYPEN after "thorough in-depth discussions."
The calendar is already filling in around it. EVAN is booked for the Busan One Asia Festival on June 28 at Busan Asiad Main Stadium and KCON LA 2026 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on August 16. Both are his first scheduled appearances as a solo act.
The departure was framed, from the start, as an artistic divergence. BELIFT stated that EVAN "has his own distinct musical vision" - language the label leaned on heavily in the weeks after the announcement drew a wave of fan backlash. A Change.org petition calling for his return to the group collected 700,000 signatures within days. The label reaffirmed on March 15 that he would not be returning.
Fans who've watched his output inside ENHYPEN have some material to read. He contributed to "Highway 1009" and "Dial Tragedy" as a songwriter and producer during his time with the group - both tracks showing a harder-edged sensibility than ENHYPEN's standard output. His stage name, EVAN, is a name he's used since childhood; on April 8, he opened an Instagram account under it, his first official channel as a solo act.
The question the June debut is supposed to answer is whether the "distinct musical vision" the label cited holds up as a standalone identity. The ENHYPEN years established him as a technical performer - stable vocals, rap capability, strong stage presence - but the group's sound was never primarily his to shape. The solo debut is the first time that changes.
A six-member ENHYPEN has continued promoting since his exit. Their latest release, The Sin: Vanish, was already in production before the split.
EVAN's debut single is expected in June. Festival appearances follow in the weeks after.
