Members from five major K-pop groups will recreate Netflix's blockbuster animated film "K-pop Demon Hunters" during the 2025 MAMA Awards in Hong Kong. The November 26 announcement revealed BABYMONSTER's Pharita, Ahyeon, and Rora alongside RIIZE's Wonbin, TWS's Shinyu, BOYNEXTDOOR's Leehan, and ZEROBASEONE's Park Gun Wook and Han Yu Jin for the Wonder Stage collaboration.

The performance recreates the film's central conflict between HUNTR/X and Saja Boys. BABYMONSTER's trio will embody the demon-hunting girl group HUNTR/X, performing the Grammy-nominated hit "Golden." The five male idols will portray Saja Boys, the rival demon group, performing "I'll Be You Idol."

Released in June 2025, "K-pop Demon Hunters" became Netflix's most-watched animated film with over 541 million viewing hours. Its soundtrack made history as the first to place four songs simultaneously in the Billboard Hot 100 top 10. "Golden" topped the chart for eight consecutive weeks and earned four Grammy nominations, including Song of the Year.

Chief producer Ma Doo-sik described the Wonder Stage as blending animation with live performance through synchronized choreography. The collaboration aligns with MAMA's "Music Makes ONE" theme, which emphasizes global fan unity through K-pop culture.

The 2025 MAMA Awards take place November 28-29 at Hong Kong's Kai Tak Stadium, marking the ceremony's first return to the city since 2018. The 50,000-seat venue represents the largest MAMA event ever held in Hong Kong. Both days begin with red carpet coverage at 5:30 PM KST, followed by the main ceremony at 7:30 PM KST. Mnet Plus and various platforms will livestream globally.

The sold-out event celebrates Mnet's 30th anniversary and features performances from Stray Kids, IVE, ENHYPEN, aespa, G-Dragon, and other top acts across both nights.
