Xdinary Heroes Sells Out Jamsil Stadium Concerts as "Beautiful Mind" Tour Closes
JYP rock band reaches career milestone with three-night Seoul finale just under four years into career
Xdinary Heroes wrapped up their "Beautiful Mind" world tour with three sold-out performances at Jamsil Indoor Stadium from November 21-23, achieving a venue milestone that signals their rapid rise in Korea's rock music scene.
The six-member band transformed the nearly four-hour concerts into emotional celebrations, with fans jumping through almost every non-ballad track while the stadium floor shook from collective energy.
Reaching New Heights
After starting the tour at Olympic Hall in May, the band had declared they wanted to move to bigger venues. They delivered on that promise, progressing from Olympic Hall to the Handball Stadium before reaching Jamsil.
The "Beautiful Mind" tour spanned 14 cities with 18 shows. All three Seoul finale concerts sold out after general ticketing opened, demonstrating the band's growing concert draw.
Fresh Material Takes Center Stage
The band changed their setlist for the finale concerts, showcasing tracks from their seventh mini-album "LXVE to DEATH". Released October 24, the new album includes songs like "Spoiler!!!" and "ICU" designed specifically for live performance energy.
Bassist Jooyeon opened the November 23 show with playful banter, alternating between calling fans "pretties" and "babies" - his signature style that contrasts with his born-in-2002 youth.
Theatrical Production Elements
During "Walking to the Moon" and "PLUTO," giant inflatable orbs representing Earth, the Moon, and Pluto floated through the arena while fans transformed the venue into a starfield with their phone flashlights. Jooyeon told the crowd, "Villains are Xdinary Heroes' universe."
Instrumental Excellence
Guitar solos punctuated the performance throughout. During "Sucker Punch!", O.de and Jun Han rode lifts to the upper tiers for elevated solos. Jun Han delivered guitar work during "PLUTO" while Gaon showcased his skills in "Walking to the Moon".
Berklee-educated drummer Gunil captivated with his "LOVE and FEAR" solo. During "Break the Brake," he stood while drumming - an uncommon sight that drew roaring approval.
Jun Han slipped a riff from DAY6's "Shoot Me" into his solo, acknowledging the senior JYP band members attending the concert. The spontaneous tribute highlighted the authentic live music experience.
Emotional Climax
Jooyeon broke down during "Save Me" as fans sang along. "For all three days, 'Save Me' has been the hardest moment," he said through tears. "When I listen to this song alone, I don't cry. I don't understand why tears only come when I sing it in front of you."
He continued: "I feel so many emotions from your gazes watching us and your voices singing together with us. I hope you can shake off all your hardships through our concert and just be happy. We'll continue working hard and making music for a long, long time." He bowed deeply to the audience.
After circling the stadium's three tiers greeting fans, O.de shared: "While going around the audience seats, I smiled like a five-year-old child. My body was tired, but I was happy. It's all thanks to you."
Breakout Year Culminates
The band performed at Lollapalooza Chicago, opened for British rock band MUSE during their Korea tour, and participated in the 2025 Busan International Rock Festival.
Performing at Jamsil Indoor Stadium is often viewed as a precursor to KSPO Dome, Korea's ultimate concert stage, positioning Xdinary Heroes for continued growth in the competitive K-band landscape.
The members - Gunil, Jungsu, Gaon, O.de, Jun Han, and Jooyeon - have been involved in writing, composing, and producing all their music since debuting December 6, 2021.
