Krang’s Appearance In ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2’ Confirmed! Stephen Amell Joins Cast!
Fans may agree that for every hero there is always a formidable villain.
Word has gotten around that Krang's appearance in the sequel "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" has been confirmed along with the casting of Stephen Amell to portray the role of Casey Jones.
Acclaimed director Michael Bay recently confirmed the details of Krang's debut in the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" movie by way of depicting a scene where he was shown a prototype of the villain to for approval, Screen Rant claimed.
"They start with Ninja Turtles animation," RollingStone reported during an interview with Michael Bay. "Pablo Helman, a visual-effects supervisor who worked on the 'Star Wars' prequels, appears onscreen and shows Bay the latest version of Krang, a new-to-the-movies villain who is, essentially, a disembodied brain inside a giant robot."
Meanwhile, Helman revealed details of the anticipate villain in the same
"So we've eliminated the tentacles," Helman revealed.
Bay, on the other hand, argued about the appearance of the new "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" villain.
"Is is too monster-ish? He could have some tentacles," Bay said. "I just don't want them coming out of the side. He looks like a stupid octopus."
It was further revealed in the interview that there will be two other iconic villains that will appear in the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" movie that will be released this 2016.
Accordingly, Bebop, a mutant warthog, and Rocksteady, a mutant rhinoceros, are making appearances as well, after a clip of the two was shown to the director.
"You gotta adjust that mass," Bay commented as told in an interview via the RollingStone. "That mass is not too good yet. Is our rhino dude's head big enough, do you think?"
Moreover, it was also reported that "Arrow" star Stephen Amell has been cast to portray another popular "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" character, Casey Jones, who is the iconic hockey mask-wearing vigilante, IB Times stated.
Although fans were quick to criticize the choice of Amell to portray the character on the account that Casey Jones might look like the actor rather than the other way around, the actor replied by telling the fans to be patient until they see it for themselves, Design&Trend reported.
