'Tokyo Ghoul' Anime Season 3 Confirmed! To Be Adapted From Manga 'Tokyo Ghoul: Re'!
The latest reports on the "Tokyo Ghoul" anime claim that season 3 for the action series has been confirmed, Crossmap claimed.
Amidst all the rumors and speculations for "Tokyo Ghoul's" next installment, the latest information revealed that the series creator has already been working on its follow up.
Earlier, it was speculated that a reboot of the original anime series "Tokyo Ghoul" was in the making, Christian Post reported.
However, Gen Fukunaga, president of FUNimation Entertainment, recently revealed that a new season for the anime series is set to be released this year.
"Ever since we began simulcasting the anime series last year, fans of 'Tokyo Ghoul' have been clamoring for a mobile game," said Gen during the video game release, Gamasutra reported. "With season 2 now finished and season 3 set for 2016, the anticipation for the game has only grown higher."
The rumors also suggest that season 3 of "Tokyo Ghoul" will feature the death of lead characters, Kaneki and Hide, in the series, claimed Reddit users.
The speculations suggest that creator of the series, Sui Ishida, was disappointed with a scene in the second season featuring Hide and Kaneki caught in the fire.
Sui had also expressed his desire to recreate the scene, hinting the coming of season 3 for the anime and not a reboot.
The latest reports from Yibada also suggest that the season 3 for "Tokyo Ghoul" will be based on the storyline of manga series "Tokyo Ghoul: Re."
The new season is also rumored to feature Haise Sasaki with excellent fighting capabilities.
But some fans of the anime series expressed their desire to witness a reboot of the complete series, Tokyo Ghoul Wikia reported.
The rumors suggest that the new season will be unable to match its pace with the manga series even if the creators keep up with the original storyline.
