Samsung Pay Competes Head On To Apple Pay: To Launch in Singapore, Brazil, Australia and More

Samsung announced through its official twitter account that it will be "coming soon" to Australia, Brazil and Singapore.

It is already very successful in South Korea and United States and the company is now planning to cover China, Spain, Britain and Europe too, NDTV Gadgets reported.

The smartphone war has now spilled over to the payment gateway systems with Samsung Pay competing head on with Apple Pay in nearly all markets.

Further, Samsung Pay has also started to cover larger market share with its promotional campaigns. It is already one of the best mobile payment options available.

Samsung Pay co-manager Thomas Ko revealed that the company will be covering more markets but did not specify the exact timeline schedule for its launches in various countries. Experts expect these launches to spread across the entire year.

Samsung Pay works somewhat similar to Apple Pay where in a user needs to confirm his identity with a fingerprint and checkout using the financial data.

The new Samsung Pay will be available across its latest A series smartphones A5, A7, A9 along with Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge Plus and Galaxy Note 5, said Techno Buffalo.

With same ideology as Apply Pay, Samsung hopes to sell its smartphones by introducing a more convenient way of payment via Samsung Pay.

Further, Samsung has also launched its range of smart watches that will be supporting Samsung Pay option as well. It has already received a commendable response in it home country and in US as well.

Now Samsung is reportedly confident of its success in other markets, said NDTV Gadgets.

One of the best advantages of Samsung Pay over Apple Pay is its compatibility with existing magnetic card strip reader, which makes it immediately available for payment at existing outlets.

However, just like Apple Pay, a retailer has to install new equipment supporting near-field communication technology.
