'Flying Witch' Anime Release Date Confirmed, J.C. Staff In Charge Of Animation Production

If you were a big fan of "Kiki's Delivery Service" and always wanted more of the teenage witch world you're in luck.

There appears to be an anime series coming this spring that is a funny story about a teenage witch in her daily life.

Previously it was announced that the "Flying Witch" manga would be adapted into a TV anime. Today, the "Flying Witch" anime release date was confirmed for April 2016 alongside a listing of J.C. Staff as responsible for the animation production.

So far, fans in ANN forum are looking forward to J.C. Staff's adaptation of the "Flying Witch" manga series.

"Ah, J.C. Staff is directing this fantasy slice of life. I am definitely interested in this," said Stark700.

Anime News Network reports that the "Flying Witch" anime will be directed by Katsushi Sakurabi with scripts by Deko Akao. Characters for the series will be designed by Masato Yasuno.

As for the "Flying Witch" manga series, it was originally created by Chihiro Ishizuka. The series was originally launched in the September 2012 issue of Bessatsu Shonen Magazine. The third volume of the series was released in April 2015 and the fourth volume will be released on April 8, 2016.

For those not familiar with the "Flying Witch" manga or anime series, ANN provides the following storyline for the "Flying Witch" manga series:

"The comical story follows the 15-year-old witch Makoto Kowata and the other boys and girls in her daily life. With her black cat Chito, the somewhat aimless girl moved from Yokohama to live with her second cousin at Aomori in verdant northern Japan."
