Freddie Roach assures Manny Pacquiao won't be distracted by political aspirations in fight with Timothy Bradley

Manny Pacquiao's next fight is against Timothy Bradley and will take place on April 9. This is basically the same period that he has to step up his political campaign to land a seat in the Philippine Senate. Can he take care of both?

Freddie Roach promised that it will be the same lethal Manny Pacquiao people will see in his upcoming fight.

"One thing about Manny Pacquiao is once he walks in the boxing gym, all that other stuff goes away," the Boxing Hall of Fame member told Los Angeles Times.

"He's always dedicated, always works very hard, and I don't think that will change. Once he's in the gym, he knows what he's there for. It's still what he does best, and he knows that."

Manny Pacquiao has been serving as the congressman of his province. He was serving his constituents when he fought and lost to Floyd Mayweather Jr. last May 2.

Manny Pacquiao's next fight is already a bit familiar for his fans. He has already fought Timothy Bradley twice and got split result.

Many are skeptical about this match, saying it will be boring. However, Top Rank CEO Bob Arum assured it will be different this time. He said what people will see is a different Bradley.

"Bradley was a different fighter in the fight with Rios," the promoter said as per Yahoo Sports.

"He had a different style, a different game plan and he performed differently. If he'd have stayed with Joel Diaz and we'd put him in with Pacquiao a third time, the criticism of this fight would no doubt be justified. But he's a different guy under Atlas. Does being with Atlas change him enough to make him more competitive with Pacqiuao? I think yes, but we'll have to see."

No one knows how the Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley III will turn out in their next fight. What's sure is that this is going to be the Filipino boxer's last.

"After my fight on April 9th, I'm going to retire from boxing," said the 37-year old Pacquiao according to PhilBoxing.com. "My April 9 fight against Timothy Bradley will be my last. I'm retiring from boxing to focus on my new job."
