'Toy Story' 4 News: Tom Hanks Confirms Start Of Recording; Actor In Trouble For Revealing Too Much?
The latest in "Toy Story 4" news reveals that Tom Hanks has already started his work on the upcoming installment, but he might be in trouble with Disney for revealing details about the film.
Many thought that the adventure of Buzz, Woody, and the whole gang would end with 2010's "Toy Story 3," which saw Andy handing over all of his toys to a younger friend. Rumors that another "Toy Story" film began circling the interwebs in 2011 when Hanks casually said during an interview that another installment was being developed.
Last year, "Toy Story 4" was officialy greenlit with John Lasseter, the first film's director. Hanks and Tim Allen also confirmed to returning to their roles.
According to Sky News Australia , Hanks has already started recording his lines for the movie.
"We are now recording 'Toy Story 4,' so we are doing that and it will be out in 2018," the 59-year-old actor stated. "It takes a long time. We are working on it right now. I have a recording session on December 2."
The "Bridge of Spies" actor also admitted that he was having trouble producing the voice of Woody even after reprising the role for a number of times, adding that he needed to cool his chest off with an ice pack after a recording session.
Hanks' statements would apparently lead to trouble as it was revealed that one of Disney's lawyers spoke with him after the interview. Movie News Guide claimed that the lawyer called Hanks the following day and reminded him to refrain from revealing details about "Toy Story 4" as it could potentially affect Disney's stock market price.
Based on an interview with Lasseter with Collider, the fourth installment's plot will center on a love story between Woody and Bo Peep.
"Woody and Buzz Lightyear go out to find Bo Peep and bing her back, and it's a very special and emotional love story," Lasseter explained.
