Mark Zuckerberg & Wife Priscilla Chan Face New Challenges In 2016; Photos Released!
Facebook CEO and multi-billionaire Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Dr. Priscilla Chan welcomed the year 2016 with big smiles on their faces with their adorable baby, Max.
On his Facebook page, Mark Zuckerberg posted a New Year' Eve photo with his wife and their baby daughter.
"I hope your 2016 is happy, healthy and productive," Zuckerberg wrote on Friday, January 1. "As the world faces new challenges and opportunities, may we all find the courage to keep making progress and making all our days count."
Mark and Priscilla recently made a generous donation to charity following the birth of their baby daughter.
"We are committed to doing our small part to help create this world for all children," the 30-year-old Facebook CEO wrote on Dec. 2. "We will give 99% of our Facebook shares -- currently about $45 billion -- during our lives to join many others in improving this world for the next generation."
Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, also wrote an open letter for their baby daughter, explaining why they have made such a huge commitment.
"Your mother and I don't yet have the words to describe the hope you give us for the future," he wrote. "Your new life is full of promise, and we hope you will be happy and healthy so you can explore it fully. You've already given us a reason to reflect on the world we hope you live in."
The billionaire recently took a paternity leave in preparation for his daughter's birth.
"At Facebook we offer our US employees up to 4 months of paid maternity or paternity leave which they can take throughout the year," Mark Zuckerberg explained on his Facebook page, explaining his break he took for his wife. "Every day things are getting a little more real for us, and we're excited to start this next stage in our lives."
