OnePlus 2 Mini Passes TENAA Certification; Releasing At CES 2016?
OnePlus 2 Mini variant was approved by Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center (TENAA) certification.
The Chinese tech startup will be introducing a mini variant of its 2015 flagship smartphone. The leaked TENAA Certification details suggest that the OnePlus 2 Mini will be coming out soon. Reportedly, once a device has been approved through FCC or TENAA a release date is imminent.
The listing has revealed that the phone under the name OneE1000 will sport a 4.9-inch full HD AMOLED display with 1080x1920 pixels resolution. Under the hood will be Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810, probably it's second generation variant, clocked at 2.0Ghz The chipset will be paired with Adreno 430 GPU and a 3GB of RAM. The device run Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box, Phandroid reported.
In terms of storage, there will be a 16GB internal storage capacity expandable up to 128GB via external microSD card.
As OnePlus' flagships are known for its good mobile photography, there will be a whopping 13-megapixel rear camera and 6-megapixel on the front. However, sensors of OnePLus 2 Mini cameras have not been revealed yet.
GSM Arena added that the OnePlus 2 Mini press renders also leaked online and shows a resemblance with the recently released OnePlus X.
Previously, the upcoming Mini variant was also spotted on GFXBench. But interestingly GFXBench's listing shows different specs and features of the OnePlus 2 Mini smartphone.
According to GFXbench, the device pulls off a smaller screen of 4.6-inch display. The same Snapdragon 810 processor has been listed. However, it is clocked at 1.7GHz with 4 GB of RAM. The built-in storage is at 64GB.While cameras seem to be watered down at 12-megapixel and 4.8-megapixel resolutions, NDTV Gadgets reported.
Since the certification was approved by TENAA, the device is expected to be released in China first. However, there are possibilities that it will have a global release too on selected OnePlus market.
Also, the OnePlus 2 Mini might debut at the upcoming CES 2016.
