Airbus A350 900 Will Be Available In China Airports Soon This Year! Japan Previous Buyer Of Model!
The Airbus A350 900 will be available in China airports soon this year, according to Focus Taiwan.
Taiwan's largest air carrier that is the China Airlines or CAL has announced this Monday that it will be receiving its first A350 900 XWB this year, which is the newest widebody jetliner today.
The Chinese airline has acquired 14 A350 900s and will be the first Taiwanese air carrier to introduce this new plane model.
Work for the assembly has already started on the first of the aircrafts. The first batch will be assembled on January 2016. It is planned to be delivered to the Chinese airline this coming July.
This is not the first time an Asian country has purchased the A350 900s though. Japan acquired also the planes last 2013, according to The Star.
Airbus won the first order from Japan Airlines Co. and that secured them 18 widebody, twin-engine A350 900 planes, in addition to the 13 larger A350-1000s.
On other news, Airbus Group SE has won an agreement from ANA Holdings Inc. to purchase three of its A380 superjumbos, according to Bloomberg Business.
All Nippon Airways Co. will be taking the delivery of the planes in 2018. The airline will use it for its Tokyo to Hawaii route, which is a popular tourist destination of the Japanese people.
Compared to the Airbus A350 900 planes, the A380 superjumbos is the largest plane and normally has seats for 525 passengers, but it can carry over 800 depending how it is arranged.
If the routes will have success in the future, an analyst speculates that it could make Japan purchase more orders.
"I'd expect to see more," said Addison Schonland, an analyst with AirInsight Inc. which is based in Baltimore. "Nobody ever bought three A380s; that's enough to try the plane on one route."
