Daisy Ridley Of 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Overprotected By Carrie Fischer? Actress Release Statement!

Actress Carrie Fisher has stated that she went very protective towards the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" stars Daisy Ridley and John Boyega.

Fisher, 59, who is famous for portraying the role of Princess Leia in the three first original "Star Wars" movies, admitted that she is anxious towards her co-stars due to the "hysteria" that will soon envelope their career, according to Mirror. 

"You do think of the kids like John and Daisy and of course you feel protective of them," she told The Daily Star on Sunday Newspaper, noted by The Daily Record. "You know the hysteria that is coming for them and, as much as you try to explain it, they won't get it until they are in the middle of it. All you can do is prepare them for it as best as possible."

On the other hand, this is not the first time that Fisher gave the 23-year-old "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" star Daisy Ridley some advice, according to Mirror. "I told her not to go through the crew like wildfire, but I also told her not to take any advice from me. When I was first in it I never wanted anyone to have the anecdote, 'I slept with Princess Leia,'" she had previously said.

Apart from Carrie Fisher, Ridley also got a "warning" from co-star Harrison Ford. "It wasn't really advice. It was more of a warning. He said that the anonymity thing is difficult, because as creative people you look to other people for inspiration and suddenly people are looking at you," she shared.

Fame has gone very quick to Daisy Ridley who, aside from "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," has only starred in one film. As of writing, the movie has already garnered more than a billion dollars in revenues and made her one of the biggest breakthrough actresses in the world.
