'God of War 4' Release Date This Year Or 2017? Resurrection And Norse Gods As Next Villains?
The "God of War 4" release date might be happening this year or in 2017, according to Crossmap.
There have been rumors that part 4 of the "God of War" series will be released soon on the PlayStation 4.
Some game websites have already speculated that it might hit the shelves this year or the next and Sony's Santa Monica Studio might have hinted that.
At first, fans have speculated that it would have been released last year, but 2015 has passed and there are still no official announcements from the game developers.
Apparently, fans assumed that the official trailer of "GOW 3" remastered version teased an update about "God of War 4," when the logo of the game appeared four times during the end of the footage.
Sony on the other hand, has confirmed that the fourth installment of the game is in progress, but still in its initial stages.
Some game sites speculate that Kratos will be coming back again in the game and the revelation will coincide during the announcement of "God of War 4's" release date, according to Franchise Herald.
Christian Today claimed that if Kratos will return, he might not be fighting Greek gods anymore.
Instead, he might be set to fight Norse gods next, whom may include Thor, Loki and more.
The game developers did not announce any confirmation for this, however.
Others however, believe that Kratos will not be coming back, instead he will be replaced by another "God of War." A fan stated that the story of Kratos is already done and does not want him back again.
The "God of War 4" release date has still not been announced and there is no official word from Santa Monica Studio about it, but Sony has officially confirmed that the game is in development.
