'Cowboy Bebop' Live Action Hollywood Movie Still On The Cards? Release Date In 2018?
The latest update on live action Hollywood version of adventure-based anime series "Cowboy Bebop" suggests that the movie may finally get its release date, according to Movie Pilot.
After being stalled for a release date since 2011, the "Cowboy Bebop" movie is rumored to be released sometime in 2018.
But its release is rumored to be heavily dependent on another popular and much-awaited movie "Ghost in the Shell," which is an adaptation of the anime series.
The rumors suggest that if the Hollywood adaptation of "Ghost in the Shell" works wonders at the Silver screen, then "Cowboy Bebop" will be back in action with amazing animation and fierce fight sequences.
There is still no news on the cast of the Hollywood movie version after Keanu Reeves decided to opt out of the live-action film. Movie News Guide had earlier reported that according to Reeves he was too old for the movie and decided to call it quits.
Keanu was offered the role of the lead character of Spike Spiegel in the Hollywood movie adaptation of the anime series "Cowboy Bebop."
He also had read the script and revealed that the live action movie based on the anime would be a huge hit at the Box-Office.
Reeves also disclosed that the new movie would be an amazing prequel version, including other bits and pieces too. The movie is rumored to focus on the earlier life of Spike as a hitman and also his transformation to bounty hunter to fight his enemy, Vicious.
The actual anime series is based on the action adventure of ex-shooter, Spike Spiegel and his ex-partner, Jet Black with other crew members traveling in the solar system in their spaceship "Bebop."
While "Cowboy Bebop" live action Hollywood movie is expected to be released in 2018, Screen Rant reported that "Ghost in the Shell" is most likely going to schedule its release date in 2017 with Scarlett Johansson in the lead role.
