Pebble Time Voice Reply Feature Encounters Problems; Gadget Gets New Assistant Named Snowy!
The Pebble Time Voice Reply feature has encountered problems along the way, according to the Franchise Herald.
"Pebble is excited to introduce Text Reply for iOS, a beta feature making us the first non-Apple smartwatch to bring voice and text replies to our iPhone users," said Pebble in a blog post.
The new feature enables iPhone owners to reply to a text message set on voice reply. The smartwatch developer has pointed out that the iOS text reply is still in the beta stage, which means it is prone to problems along the way.
The new feature is available to a limited number of people for now, according to Engadget. The feature can only be accessed if the person has a Pebble Time, a Time Steel or a Time Round model and that person must be a postpaid subscriber of AT&T.
For those who are lucky enough to get the feature, they can be able to reply to texts either with a voice or a preloaded message.
Pebble right now is working on the Pebble Time Voice Reply feature to work with other carriers in the future.
"We are working to enable additional carriers and services to provide actionable notifications to more and more iPhone users," said Pebble.
Pebble Time is also getting a new feature that is almost comparable with Siri or Google Now and that is the digital assistant called Snowy, according to Gazette Review.
While not the same as a native assistant, Snowy is capable as an assistant.
In addition, interested consumers can download the digital assistant over the Pebble App Store.
Snowy will only work with the Pebble Time, Pebble Time Steel and the Pebble Time Round because it needs a microphone. It can set alarms, check on sports scores and also find the date and time.
There are no additional updates on the Pebble Time Voice Reply feature for now since the company has yet to realeas any official announcement to date.
