Waiting Game For Frank Ocean's New Album Begins Again This 2016; Updates Still Not Coming In
With 2016 ushering in, news updates about Frank Ocean's new album are still not coming in.
Last year proved uneventful after all the rumors regarding Frank Ocean's new album, reportedly titled "Boys Don't Cry," being released in July. But fans are not losing hope. After all, there's a whole year to wait.
When July ended, a slew of memes flooded the Internet as fans expressed their disappointment about the lack of news regarding Frank Ocean's new album.
Back in November, the hype went through the roof when producer A-Trak tweeted, "Mark my words: in a few weeks u'll hear a song called White Ferrari, I can't tell u who it's by but it's the best thing u'll hear this year."
"With many already reeled in, our intrigue was piqued even further when Rostam from Vampire Weekend - who has more recently penned songs for the likes of Carly Rae Jepsen, Charli XCX and more - chimed in to agreed knowingly," wrote Luke Morgan Britton for NME.
But Pop Crush pointed out that A-Trak might not be referring to Frank Ocean's new album after all, considering his close ties with Kanye West.
"This could just as easily refer to the rapper's upcoming Swish...or it could be another artist entirely. But for the sake of downtrodden Frank Ocean stans, we're hoping this is one conspiracy theory that's actually true," it said.
Meanwhile, Frank Ocean remains mum on the release of his new album, or whether or not he's producing a new set of tracks in the first place.
The elusive singer has been very silent since his seminal work, "Channel Orange," came out in 2012, even after rapper Wale accused Frank Ocean of benefitting from the his sexual orientation, rather than his artistry.
Watch out for more news updates on Frank Ocean's new album which will be published here when they become available.
