Bon Jovi's New Album Release Date Confirmed For March 2016; Transfers To New Label After 35 Years With Mercury?

Fans of the New Jersey-native band Bon Jovi sympathized with the lead singer when news broke out that the band was suddenly dropped by record label Mercury after so many years they've spent working together.

As "Burning Bridges" was released in mid-2015, fans can expect the rest of the band's new album to hit the shelves this 2016, according to sources.

It was previously reported that Bon Jovi has joined the ranks of bands dedicating a song to record labels that have wronged their artists with the its recent single, "Burning Bridges."

The single was reportedly written and dedicated to their former label Mercury Records and is released along with the former's latest album, as stated by Billboard.

"It's the end of an era," lead vocalist Jon Bon Jovi said in an interview.

"I've stayed at that label my entire life-32 years. I am the longest tenured artist on Mercury, or whatever they are called this week. But my deal was up, and that's that," he added.

The American rock band Bon Jovi released their 13th studio album of the same title, "Burning Bridges," which was intended to be released as a fan souvenir for their South East Asia tour.

However, the new album was refashioned to comply with their contractual obligation to their former label, according to The Guardian.

"It fulfills a commitment to Mercury Records," the vocalist said, courtesy of Billboard Biz.

"After 32 years, we have parted ways. That is the big news. If you listen to 'Burning Bridges,' the song, it is clearly spelled out," he added.

Despite the unfortunate event, it was reported that Bon Jovi is hard at work in releasing their next studio album this 2016, which may be considered as part of a large collection of outtakes of the album "Burning Bridges," as stated by Ultimate Classic Rock.

Jon Bon Jovi commented on the band's upcoming new album and its reported release in 2016 with an accompanying tour, saying that despite the things that have happened recently, the new record is going to sound good.

"A lot has happened," the frontman said in an interview with Billboard via Stereogum. "Richie Sambora's 'sudden departure,' also my trying to buy the Buffalo Bills, and now this with the label."

"I have a lot of material to write about. Believe me, the new record is good. It's pointed. It's something we are going to be very proud of."
