Did Benedict Cumberbatch's 'Doctor Strange' Costume Reveal Another Infinity Stone?

Newly released photos of Benedict Cumberbatch's "Doctor Strange" costume hint at a new Inifinity Stone.

As many already know, Phase 3 will kick off with "Captain America: Civil War." A few months later, the first new franchise of Phase 3 will introduce Doctor Stephen Vincent Strange, a character who will usher in the mystical side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Principal photography began in Nepal in November 2015 and is expected to wrap up by March this year.

Entertainment Weekly recently published the first-look photos of Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange. The images revealed that Strange is in possesion of the Eye of Agamotto - a special amulet that gives him one of his many mystic powers.

"In this film, the Eye [of Agamotto] is a very important relic that can be quite dangerous if used in the wrong hands, because it has the ability to do any number of things, the most dangerous of which is, it can sort of manipulate probabilities," explains Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige. "Which is also another way of saying, 'screw around with time' - which is part of our story."

Screen Rant speculates Feige could be hinting that the Eye of Agamotto contains the Time Stone, one of the remaining two Infinity Stones yet to be discovered in upcoming Marvel films.

The plot will center on Stephen Strange, a successful but arrogant neurosurgeon who damages his hand in a car accident, rendering them unusable for surgery. Looking for a cure, Strange comes across The Ancient One - a sorcerer who trains and gives him mystical powers to defend Earth from sinister forces.

Benedict Cumberbatch debuts as the Sorcerer Supreme in Marvel's "Doctor Strange" on Nov. 4, 2016.
