'Assassin's Creed' Release Date For PS4: The Assassin's Creed Syndicate Jack the Ripper DLC dropped on Dec. 15. Ubisoft released a 360° trailer for the new story line. Files found in the Jack the Ripper DLC for Assassin's Creed Syndicate hint that Ubisoft is thinking of updating future games in the franchise with a new modern day protagonist.

"I think the continued involvement of the Initiates is dangerous. They are not trained Assassins ... Involving a large number of civilians who simply happen to own a device connected to Helix puts them directly in the Templars' crosshairs," the assassin says in the third file.

The original Assassin's Creed through Assassin's Creed III told Desmond's arc, over the past three years, Ubisoft has put less emphasis on the present-day story.

"Assassin's Creed: Unity" was released last November. SuperData Research reported that the game earned almost $15 million in digital sales  Assassin's Creed Chronicles China is set for release on April 22. It will cost $9.99 and be available for free to Assassin's Creed Unity season pass buyers.

Assassin's Creed: India is the next title that is scheduled. It is scheduled to debut on January 12 2016 for PlayStation 4 and PC and on February 9Xbox One. Gamers will take on the role of killing machine Arbaaz Mir from the Assassin's Creed: Brahman comics, in order to retrieve a stolen Assassin artifact from the Templars in 1841.

Assassin's Creed: Russia will will hit all three platforms on February 9. It will complete the downloadable trilogy. It will star Nikolai Orelov from Assassin's Creed: The Fall and The Chain comics.

"While the franchise still needs to overcome some inherent flaws, Assassin's Creed Syndicate feels refreshingly different and a joy to play. With believable characters and fluid gameplay that feels trimmed of its excess fat, it is the best Assassin's Creed game to come out in years," Alessandro Barbosa reviewed on LazyGamer.

The "Assassin's Creed Chronicles" will feature several historical characters. "Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China," takes place in 1526 China, during the end of the Ming dynasty. Gamers will play the last of the Chinese brotherhood's assassins, Sha Shun, who was trained by hero Ezio Auditore. Shao Jun has "[returned] to her homeland in search of vengeance." Sha Shun will return to China to restore the brotherhood to greatness.

Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India story is set in India in 1841, as the Sikh Empire finds itself at war. It will feature assassin Arbaaz Mir. Assassin's Creed Chronicles: Russia is set in 1918, in the aftermath of Russia's October Revolution. It will star Nikolaï Orelov. Both assassins appeared in the Assassin's Creed graphic novels.

Ubisoft added close, short-knives and bare fist combat to the fighting play, as it takes place in the Industrial Revolution. The Syndicate will also have a launcher as a weapon like in the Arkham series. The line launcher can scale buildings.  The latest installment will feature new and enhanced abilities such as the ability to ride and hijack coaches.

Assassin's Creed: Syndicate looks to be a the most innovative game in the Assassin's Creed offerings. It is reported to have a lighter tone. Ubisoft is placing Assassin's Creed Syndicate in Victorian London.

Assassin's Creed Chronicles China is set for release on April 22. It will cost $9.99 and be available for free to Assassin's Creed Unity season pass buyers.
