Ian Somerhalder's ex-girlfriend Nina Dobrev showed what her ex-beau has been missing since their split as she planted a smooch to Austin Stowell.

The 28-year-old Bulgarian-Canadian actress Nina Dobrev, who had her split with Ian Somerhalder in 2013, posted a snap shot showing how she kissed her new boyfriend Austin Stowell.

In the sweet Instagram photo, Nina Dobrev can be seen planting a smooch on the "Whiplash" actor while they were snowboarding, E! Online said in a report.

Before Nina Dobrev started dating hunk actor Austin Stowell in July this year, the "Perks of Being a Wallflower" star was in a relationship with Ian Somerhalder for three years which started their romance at the set of "The Vampire Diaries."

Rumors have it that Ian Somerhalder had express his desire to settle down and have kids to which Nina Dobrev rejected as she wanted to focus more on her movie and television career.
