BLACKPINK Jennie Surprises World Street Woman Fighter Crews With Mega Crew Mission Announcement

K-pop star introduces cultural identity challenge as five teams survive elimination battle
BLACKPINK's Jennie made a surprise video appearance on Mnet's "World of Street Woman Fighter" to announce the Mega Crew Mission, electrifying the five remaining dance crews during the June 24 episode.
The announcement followed a pool party celebration where surviving teams RHTokyo, BUMSUP, MOTIV, Osaka Ojo Gang, and AG SQUAD relaxed after Royal Family became the first crew eliminated from the competition.
Jennie explained that crews must return to their home countries and create large-scale performances representing their nation's cultural identity. "This mission is on a different level," she stated in the video message. The challenge includes a unique high-angle camera requirement and mandates a minimum of 30 dancers per crew.
The Mega Crew Mission videos were released on June 18, accumulating over 31 million views as global fans vote through YouTube's The CHOOM channel.
BUMSUP's Gabee and RHTokyo's Mona expressed strong confidence following the mission reveal. BUMSUP had previously defeated RHTokyo in the K-pop mission despite RHTokyo receiving higher judge scores, winning through global fan support.
During a spa visit, RHTokyo leader Riehata revealed her initial reluctance about participating in the global season. The renowned choreographer, known for working with BTS, G-Dragon, BoA, and EXO, shared that her crew members' enthusiasm convinced her to join.
Riehata previously served as a guest judge on Street Woman Fighter 2's Mega Crew mission, while crew member Rena competed in that season as part of Tsubakill.
The June 17 episode achieved a 2.0% peak rating and 1.7% average in Seoul, ranking first in key demographics for four consecutive weeks. The show dominated female viewership across all age groups and maintained a 90.1% real-time share on TVING.
Good Data Corporation's FUNdex ranked World Street Woman Fighter number one in TV-OTT non-drama buzz for four consecutive weeks, with a 47% increase compared to Street Woman Fighter 2.
The competition now enters its most culturally diverse phase as crews prepare performances showcasing their national heritage while competing for survival in the international dance battle.
