Google Glass 2.0 Price To Come Cheaper? Better Quality And Longer Battery Life Promised!

Google Glass 2.0 is expected to be released in 2016(since 2015 has already passed) at a substantially cheaper price than its unsuccessful predecessor.

Google Inc is aiming to improve its next smartglass technology- Google Glass 2.0. The failed predecessor version is not entirely dead though. With "Project Aura" as the New name, Google has put the man who build the iPod "Tony Fadell" to make the improvements and launch the wearable device as a successful one. It will mostly retain most of the backbone design from the predecessor, thus enabling it to possess a touchpad, display and a camera. But there's a notable change enabling it to be folded to slip into a lab coat or pocket. Durability, Rugged built design and waterproof features are expected to make it more work-friendly. One more indication is that the prism display would be larger and the placement of power button would be at the device's back panel.

As cited in the Wall Street Journal, Google is going to be using an Intel Processor instead of that of Texas instruments. If this rumor is true, Google and Intel may bring together a new wearable technology that might be of use in the world of professionals, especially among emergency care, healthcare and hospitals. Despite this rumor, there is still no clarity about which Intel processor that Google Glass 2 might be using.

With regards to connectivity, a 5 GHz Wi-Fi band Support is expected to enable users of this wearable technology to be able to watch videos. While the predecessor had a big issue with the battery life, this version is expected to overcome it with its own external battery pack that can be attached magnetically to the smartglass device offering an extra hit of power supply.

It Is also said that there will be a number of different variants of the Google Glass 2.0 at a relatively lower price.
